Over 1,700 km from Ukraine: Explosions heard near oil refinery in Ufa

Explosions were heard overnight in Ufa, Russia, sending thick black smoke billowing over one of the city’s facilities. Local residents are reporting a possible attack on an oil refinery.

This is reported by Russian and monitoring resources.

According to preliminary data, the explosions may have occurred near one of the oil refining facilities. Eyewitnesses report two ignition points and publish footage of the fire.

The Bashkir oil refining complex “Bashneft-UNPZ” is located in Ufa, which is engaged in oil refining and the production of petroleum products.

There is currently no official information about the causes of the explosions and possible damage. The scale of the incident is being clarified.

The distance from Ufa to the territory of Ukraine is over 1,700 kilometers.

As a reminder, on the night of Thursday, June 25,drones attacked temporarily occupied Crimea and the Krasnodar Territory of the Russian Federation . In Crimea, explosions were reported in several areas of the peninsula, and a fire broke out at an oil depot in the village of Poltava.
