Over 100 settlements in Ukraine were left without electricity due to bad weather

As of Tuesday, April 28, 100 settlements in 9 regions remain without power due to bad weather. The situation in Sumy Oblast also remains difficult due to Russian shelling.
This was reported by the National Energy Company ” Ukrenergo ” on its Facebook page.
Ukrenergo notes that as a result of the morning Russian drone attack, the situation in Sumy region is the most difficult.
A significant portion of consumers in the region remain without power due to enemy strikes on energy infrastructure facilities.
Also, as of this morning, new power outages were recorded due to enemy shelling in the Zaporizhia and Kharkiv regions.
Emergency recovery work is currently being carried out where safety conditions allow.
Due to damage to overhead power lines caused by strong gusts of wind, more than 100 settlements in nine regions were completely or partially without power this morning: Sumy, Khmelnytskyi, Kharkiv, Chernihiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Poltava, Kherson, and Kyiv regions.
The regional energy company’s repair crews are doing everything possible to restore power to consumers as soon as possible.
The national energy company informs consumers that the situation in the power system may change, so they should monitor messages on the websites and official pages of regional operators, and also asks to limit the use of powerful electrical appliances from 6:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.
As reported, on the night of April 24 , Russian forces attacked Ukraine with ballistic missiles and kamikaze drones . Air defense forces shot down or suppressed most of the air targets, but missiles and drones were recorded hitting a number of locations.
