Over 2,000 targets destroyed in March: Syrsky announced the increase in the effectiveness of interceptor drones

During March 2026, the number of aerial targets destroyed by interceptor drones increased by more than half compared to February.

This was announced by the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleksandr Syrsky.

“In March, the number of combat missions of interceptor drones and the rate of destroyed targets increased by almost 55% compared to February,” he wrote on social media.

According to Syrsky, over the past 30 days, Ukrainian interceptor drones have neutralized more than 2.3 thousand Russian air targets.

The Commander-in-Chief emphasized that, amid changing enemy tactics, Ukraine is adapting its actions and developing new effective ways to counter strike drones. This includes increasing the number of interceptor drone crews and strengthening military training.

Separately, Syrsky assured that the Ukrainian side is ready to share experience in using interceptor drones with international partners.

“At the same time, we need to further increase the number of UAV interceptors, in particular with automatic guidance systems. The enemy does not stop attacks – on the contrary, it increases production, modernizes drones and improves their use,” he added.

Recently, the Ministry of Defense of Ukraine codified and approved for operation the JEDI Shahed Hunter unmanned aerial vehicle complex . The new interceptor drones are already being used to destroy enemy drones.
