Over 40 people’s deputies of the current convocation received suspicions from NABU and SAPO

Anti-corruption authorities have handed over suspicions to 41 deputies of the Verkhovna Rada of the 9th convocation.
This was stated by the head of the SAPO Oleksandr Klymenko in an interview with Ukrinform.
In total, over the 10 years since the anti-corruption bodies began their activities, 79 former and current people’s deputies have been suspected.
Among them is Yulia Tymoshenko, a deputy from the Batkivshchyna party. According to Klymenko, she came to the attention of the NABU and SAPO in November 2025, when information appeared about attempts to bribe deputies to leave the Servant of the People party or vote differently than the faction required.
“Plus, we received information within the framework of our other proceedings that attempts were being made to bribe people’s deputies, we already had protocols of secret investigative and search actions to confirm that this was really happening. Therefore, we turned to the Prosecutor General and on November 27, he entered information on this fact into the ERDR,” the official said.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to MP, head of the Batkivshchyna faction Yulia Tymoshenko. The investigation covers the facts of bribery to parliamentarians for supporting or blocking certain initiatives in the session hall.
At the same time, NABU released audio recordings in the case of an alleged offer of an illegal benefit to MPs.
In response, the leader of the Batkivshchyna party, Yulia Tymoshenko, stated that she had nothing to do with the audio recordings released by the National Anti-Corruption Bureau.
It is known that on January 16, the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court chose a preventive measure for the head of the Batkivshchyna faction, Yulia Tymoshenko. The court set bail in the amount of over 33 million hryvnias and imposed a number of procedural obligations on her. On January 23, bail was posted for Tymoshenko .
