From the beginning of October 14 until 09:00 on October 15, Russia attacked Ukraine with more than 850 Shahed drones. At least six people were killed in the attacks, and dozens of hits were recorded.

This was announced by President Volodymyr Zelensky.

According to him, the attacks continued in continuous waves throughout the past day and night. Some of the drones were shot down, but the strikes caused significant destruction in various regions.

One of the most extensive attacks was in Kirovohrad region. Hits were also recorded in Kyiv and the region, Dnipropetrovsk, Odesa, Rivne, Kharkiv, Donetsk, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Mykolaiv, Vinnytsia, Zhytomyr, Khmelnytskyi, Poltava and Ivano-Frankivsk regions.

Three people died in Kropyvnytskyi, and three more in the Dnipropetrovsk region. In dozens of cities and communities, rescuers and repair crews continue to eliminate the consequences of shelling.

Zelensky linked the intensification of Russian attacks to the easing of sanctions against Moscow and attempts to put pressure on Ukraine.

“It is obvious that Russia deliberately escalated its attacks after receiving a relaxation of sanctions and seeing attempts to put pressure on Ukraine,” the president said.

He called on partners to provide stable support to Ukraine, primarily in strengthening air defense, and to make decisions that will help stop the war.

As a reminder, it was previously reported that Russia attacked the Kirovohrad region for over ten hours . In Kropyvnytskyi, three people were killed and six more were injured. Residential buildings, enterprises, warehouses, and transport infrastructure were damaged.
