Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy warned that Russian air attacks could continue throughout the day.
He stated this in his address.
“There are now more than a hundred Russian drones in our skies, and there may be more waves of drone attacks throughout the day,” the post says.
According to him, Russia continues to carry out massive strikes on various regions of Ukraine, in particular on civilian and railway infrastructure.
“Russia continues to strike and does so defiantly – purposefully against our railway infrastructure, against civilian objects in cities,” Zelenskyy noted.
The President added that there were injuries and deaths as a result of the attacks, and expressed condolences to their families.
He also reported that air defense forces shot down and suppressed 111 drones overnight alone, but the threat of new waves of strikes remains high.
“It is important to steadfastly repel every attack. It is important to support Ukraine and not remain silent about the Russian war,” the president emphasized.
According to Zelensky, Russian strikes were recorded in several regions at once – from the Dnipro and Kharkiv regions to the Odessa and Poltava regions.
As a reminder, on the night of Wednesday, May 13, and in the morning , Russian occupation forces attacked the Dnipropetrovsk region almost 30 times. The Nikopol, Synelnyky, and Kryvyi Rih districts were hit. Eight people died as a result of the shelling, and 11 more were injured.
