Over the past 24 hours, 175 combat contacts have been recorded on the front, and 39 attacks have been stopped in the Pokrovsky direction.

On February 20, 175 combat clashes were recorded on the Russian-Ukrainian front. The situation remains tense in the Pokrovsk sector, where Ukrainian forces stopped 39 enemy assaults and offensives.

The General Staff of the Armed Forces of Ukraine reported this in construction as of 08:00.

Massive strikes on Ukrainian Armed Forces positions

According to updated data, the day before the enemy:

• launched two missile strikes (two missiles);

• carried out 89 airstrikes, dropping 229 guided bombs;

• used 7,846 kamikaze drones;

• Conducted 2,967 shelling attacks on Ukrainian troop positions and populated areas, including 69 using MLRS.

At the same time, missile forces and artillery of the defense forces hit seven areas of enemy personnel concentration, an artillery system, three command posts and a supply of ammunition.

Situation in the directions

Three armed clashes occurred in the Severo-Slobozhansky and Kursk directions. The enemy launched five airstrikes, dropped six heavy bombs, and carried out 72 attacks, two of which were from multiple rocket launchers.

In the South Slobozhansky direction, four assaults were recorded in the areas of Staritsa, Liman, Volchanskie Khutors and Krugly.

In the Kupyansk direction, Ukrainian troops repelled eight attacks near Peschane and in the directions of Novoosinove and Kurilovka.

In the Liman direction, the enemy attempted to advance forward ten times in the areas of Zarechny and in the direction of Drobyshev, Liman and Stavki.

In the Slavyansk direction, ten attacks were repelled in the areas of Yampol, Zakotnoye, Platonovka and in the directions of Rai-Aleksandrovka and Ozernoye.

No offensive actions were recorded in the Kramatorsk direction.

In the Konstantinovka direction, the enemy carried out 26 attacks in the areas of Pleshcheyevka, Rusiny Yar, Sofiyivka and the directions of Konstantinovka, Ivanopol, Berestok, Novopavlovka, Ilyinovka and Stepanovka.

The greatest activity was recorded in the Pokrovsk direction – 39 attacks in the areas of Rodinskoye, Mirnograd, Pokrovsk, Kotlinoy, Udachny, Molodetskoye, Muravka, Novonikolaevka and in the directions of Novoaleksandrivka, Kucherov Yar, Sergeyevka and Novopavlovka.

In the Aleksandrovsk direction, the enemy attacked three times in the Stepnoye area.

In the Gulyai-Polye direction, 18 attempts to advance were recorded in the areas of Gulyai-Polye, Zagornoye and in the directions of Varvarovka, Lenokonstantinovka, Zheleznodorozhny and Svyatopetrivka.

In the Orekhov direction, the enemy attacked three times near Stepnoye, Malye Shcherbaki and Stepnogorsk.

In the Dnieper direction, the enemy made three unsuccessful attempts to attack.

At the same time, no signs of the formation of offensive enemy groups were detected in the Volyn and Polesie directions.
