Parliament appoints Shmyhal as Minister of Energy

On Wednesday, January 14, the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine appointed Denys Shmyhal as First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Energy.

This became known from the broadcast of the parliament session.

248 members of parliament voted for this decision.

We will remind you that on January 13, the Verkhovna Rada dismissed Denys Shmyhal from the post of Minister of Defense of Ukraine .

As is known, Zelenskyy suggested that Denys Shmyhal head the Ministry of Energy .

And already on January 9, the Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov and the Head of the Ministry of Defense Denys Shmyhal submitted their resignations .
