As of the morning of April 10, several regions of Ukraine have experienced power outages following Russian drone and artillery attacks.
This was reported by Ukrenergo.
According to energy experts, consumers in Odessa, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions were left without electricity.
“As a result of Russian drone attacks on energy infrastructure facilities, consumers in the Odessa, Zaporizhia, Kherson, Sumy, and Kharkiv regions have lost power as of this morning. Where security conditions allow, emergency restoration work has already begun,” the report says.
Energy experts add that due to restrictions on electricity consumption, the overall level of light use has decreased. As of 9:30 a.m., it was 2.2% lower than the day before.
At the same time, the company reminded that after previous attacks on the country’s power system, restrictions are in place: for businesses, there are power reduction schedules, and for the population, there are hourly outages.
“Given the weather conditions, today there is a need for economical energy consumption throughout the day. Please limit the use of electrical appliances as much as possible in the evening hours – from 5:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. Do not turn on several powerful appliances at the same time during this period,” Ukrenergo urged.
Currently, repair work is continuing where the security situation allows.
