On Sunday, August 17, Ukrainian leader Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in Brussels, where he met with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen.
This was announced by presidential spokesman Serhiy Nikiforov, Suspilne reports .
It is known that Zelensky and von der Leyen will hold a bilateral meeting, after which a briefing is scheduled.
In addition, on Sunday, the leaders will join a meeting of the “Coalition of the Determined,” and the next day they will travel to Washington, where they will participate in a summit with US President Donald Trump.
As a reminder, Volodymyr Zelenskyy previously announced a visit to the White House , where he plans to discuss the details of a potential trilateral meeting with Donald Trump.
By the way, European allies plan to support Volodymyr Zelensky during his visit to the United States in order to strengthen his position in negotiations with Donald Trump and avoid possible conflicts in the White House.
As it became known, a number of world leaders will participate in the meeting between Zelensky and Trump , including the President of the European Commission, the Secretary General of NATO, the presidents of France, Germany, and Finland, as well as the prime ministers of Great Britain and Italy.
