Partners have allocated €100 million to Ukraine for winter preparations through the Ramstein Energy Fund.

During the Energy Ramstein meeting, Ukraine’s partners announced the allocation of €100 million for winter preparations. The funds will be channeled through the Energy Support Fund.
This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Energy Denis Shmyhal .
According to him, the partners made the corresponding commitments at a meeting that Ukraine held together with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko .
Furthermore, the parties agreed to work on raising an additional €829 million for the Energy Support Fund. These funds will be used to finance already approved projects and the urgent needs of the energy system.
Ukraine’s key energy priorities were also discussed within the framework of the “Ukraine Energy Coordination Group” format.
Shmyhal emphasized the importance of the European Union’s decision to provide Ukraine with 90 billion euros in financial support, which should help the country get through the next heating season.
