Parubiy’s murder suspect testified in court that he could have killed Poroshenko too

The Galitsky District Court of Lviv has arrested 52-year-old Lviv resident Mykhailo Stselnikov, suspected of murdering the people’s deputy and former speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy, for 60 days without the right to bail.

The suspect admitted his guilt in a comment to journalists. When asked why he chose Parubiy as his victim, the suspect  replied that he was “nearby.”

“If I lived in Vinnitsa, then I would be Petya (meaning  Petro Poroshenko), the defendant said.

He also called his actions “a disservice to the Ukrainian authorities” and said that the information that Russian intelligence services were blackmailing him was not true.

As is known, the evening of remembrance of the people’s deputy Andriy Parubiy was held on the eve of the Independence Square in Kiev . Hundreds of people, including public and political figures, gathered to honor the memory of the parliamentarian.

Let us recall that on August 30 , public and political figure Andriy Parubiy was killed in Lviv .

It later became known that a shooter who killed the current member of parliament from European Solidarity and former chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Andriy Parubiy is being sought in the Lviv region . A photo of the alleged killer is being published online.

Later, journalists reported that deputy Andriy Parubiy was shot 8 times by a man disguised as a courier.
