Passenger trains are delayed in Kyiv region due to overnight attacks

In the Kyiv region, delays for individual passenger trains have been recorded due to damage to the overhead contact network and power outages.

The press service of Ukrzaliznytsia reported this.

Currently, train service is being carried out using backup diesel locomotives. Delays affect trains No. 743/744 Slavske – Darnytsia, No. 21/22 Kharkiv – Lviv, No. 15/16 Vorokhta – Kharkiv, and No. 79/80 Lviv – Dnipro.

Ukrzaliznytsia noted that the remaining trains scheduled to travel through the damaged section are operating on modified routes with controlled deviations from the schedule.

Incidentally, on the night of January 9, Kyiv was subjected to a massive combined attack by enemy drones , damaging residential buildings and infrastructure in several districts of the city. According to official reports, four people were killed, and dozens more residents and emergency services workers were injured.

As a reminder, Russia shelled the Dnipropetrovsk and Zaporizhia regions . The prolonged and massive attack resulted in emergency power outages. It was later reported that the number of casualties in Kryvyi Rih, as a result of a combined Russian missile and drone attack, had risen to 17 , including three children.
