Norway and Germany will finance the purchase of three Patriot air defense systems for Ukraine.
This was announced by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky during a conversation with media representatives in Rome.
“We discussed with partners the possibility of purchasing in Europe and the United States, first of all, the necessary packages of appropriate weapons. We have given details about this package to our friends, we hope for support,” Zelenskyy said.
According to him, this includes air defense systems, Patriot systems, and missiles for them.
“Germany is ready to pay, there are agreements, two systems. Norway is ready to pay for one system,” the president said.
Volodymyr Zelensky also added that when the Patriot manufacturer and the United States decide on dates, other European partners will join.
Recall that US President Donald Trump probably promised Volodymyr Zelensky to provide Patriot missiles to strengthen Ukrainian air defense.
It was previously reported that the German government plans to conclude an agreement with the United States to supply Ukraine with new air defense systems and interceptor missiles .
