Patriot is on the way: NATO has promised urgent assistance to Ukraine

The North Atlantic Alliance is actively preparing for a new stage of military assistance to Ukraine – the transfer of additional Patriot air defense systems.

This was announced by the Supreme Commander of NATO’s Allied Forces in Europe, Oleksiy Hrynkevich, Reuters reports.

“Preparations are in full swing, we are working closely with the Germans on the issue of the Patriot transfer. I was instructed to act as quickly as possible,” Hrynkevich emphasized during a conference in Wiesbaden (Germany).

According to the commander, the main goal is to transfer air defense assets to Ukraine as soon as possible to strengthen its defense against Russian missile attacks.

Recall, US President Donald Trump announced that the first batches of Patriot anti-aircraft systems have already been sent to partner countries, which will later transfer them to Ukraine.

As reported, US President Donald Trump’s statement regarding the start of the shipment of Patriot systems from Germany to Ukraine was not confirmed in Berlin.
