US President Donald Trump announced that the first batches of Patriot anti-aircraft systems have already been sent to partner countries, which will later transfer them to Ukraine.

He told reporters about this, reports Suspilne.

According to Trump, these systems come from warehouses in Germany and are then replaced with new supplies — and all costs are fully reimbursed.

“Instead of giving away ours, we sell to allies, they send the systems to Ukraine, and we get our money back. All costs are covered, we lose nothing,” the politician explained.

Trump emphasized that spending on armaments is mainly covered by European structures — either EU member states or NATO.

“We are compensated for everything — either through NATO or directly from European countries. We are returning our money and no longer financing it from the US budget,” he said.

Trump also noted that the American military will not participate in hostilities in Ukraine.

“We are not sending soldiers. This is not our war. Thanks to this, thousands of lives are saved every week – Ukrainian and Russian. But not American. And although the situation remains tragic, we will not intervene directly,” he added.

Recall, US President Donald Trump said that Ukraine should not shell Moscow, and also gave Russia an ultimatum: either a ceasefire for 50 days, or new sanctions and tariffs. He specified that the US will not take sides, but will be guided by “humanity”. In addition, Trump rejected the possibility of supplying Ukraine with JASSM and Tomahawk missiles, believing that this is inappropriate now.

As reported, Donald Trump’s administration was seriously discussing the scenario of transferring long-range Tomahawk cruise missiles to Ukraine – the same weapons that the US recently used against Iranian targets.
