“Peace” according to the Kremlin’s scenario: the US warned of a new trap for Russia

US Vice President J.D. Vance said that the Kremlin has apparently made a series of concessions that may indicate a readiness to end the war against Ukraine. This includes Russia’s abandonment of plans to change power in Kyiv and its readiness to provide guarantees of Ukraine’s territorial integrity.
This is stated in the material of The Telegraph.
However, in Western analytical circles, such signals are called misleading. The media remind us: Putin has not given up on his desire to destroy Ukrainian statehood, but has simply shifted his focus – instead of completely capturing the country, the Kremlin is now focused on the Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhia regions.
Experts also point to another reality: according to British intelligence estimates, it will take Russian troops at least 4 years to fully occupy even these four regions. There is no talk of a new offensive on Kyiv at all.
Against this backdrop, the question arises whether Putin is truly ready for peace, or is he simply trying to mislead the West by using rhetoric about “concessions” as part of a broader pressure strategy.
In Kyiv, for their part, they emphasize: there can be no end to the war without real security guarantees – especially if such guarantees are offered by the aggressor himself.
As we will recall, the American Institute for the Study of War reported that the Kremlin has once again rejected the possibility of real peace negotiations, and instead is trying to shift the responsibility for the lack of progress onto Ukraine. Sergey Lavrov’s latest statements only confirm that Moscow has not changed its military goals, continues to issue ultimatums, and seeks to legitimize the ideology of the “Russian world.”
As reported, Russian dictator Vladimir Putin continues to avoid any real guarantees that would prevent a new invasion of Ukraine. Instead , Moscow consistently seeks to destroy Western unity, oust Kyiv from the international support system, and divide the United States and Europe.
