Dmytro Lytvyn, the Ukrainian President’s communications adviser, criticized The Washington Post’s publication about the alleged US-European peace plan, which involves territorial concessions to Ukraine. He stated that the material reflects the position of part of the American team, and not the joint agreements of the West.

Lytvyn told reporters about this.

“This is not ‘the USA and European countries’. This is a retelling of the view of part of the American team at a meeting in Florida, where there were Americans, Ukrainians, and Europeans. Not bad PR from the American side,” the presidential advisor said.

This is a meeting of representatives of Ukraine, the United States, Great Britain, France, and Germany, which took place on October 9 in Miami. It was organized by special envoys of the US President, Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

According to The Washington Post, during the talks, the American side called on Ukraine to stop attacks on Russian oil refineries. The publication also claims that US representatives warned about a possible agreement between Donald Trump and Russia on the supply of diesel fuel.

Lytvyn emphasized that the publication should not be perceived as a coordinated position of the US and European states.

As a reminder, the US and European partners are gradually shaping a new peace proposal to end Russia’s war against Ukraine . It envisages large-scale reconstruction, security guarantees for Kyiv, a new energy model for Europe, and a ceasefire along the current front line.

As previously reported, US President Donald Trump announced an agreement with Russian President Vladimir Putin on the supply of Russian diesel fuel to the US and world markets . According to him, Russia should immediately supply more than 300,000 tons of fuel, and later – several million more tons.
