The United States seeks to avoid involvement in Russia’s war against Ukraine, but President Donald Trump wants to “restore peace through force.”
This was stated by the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Mike Johnson, during a briefing.
Johnson said that the Russia-Ukraine war has been going on for too long. In this regard, Congress does not want the United States to be involved in this conflict.
“Too many innocent people are dying, and we do not want any further American involvement in this,” the Speaker of the US House of Representatives stressed.
However, Johnson noted that what NATO and US allies around the world are doing can be effective.
“I think we’re all tired of this and hope it ends soon. We trust US President Donald Trump. He is restoring peace through strength,” the Speaker of the House of Representatives concluded.
It is worth adding that Trump will soon announce an “aggressive” plan to supply weapons to Ukraine . The US may transfer the missiles it receives to Moscow.
