Pensions in Ukraine: to whom and by how much can payments increase from November 1

Пенсії

From November 1, 2026, there will be no general recalculation of pensions in Ukraine, but some pensioners will be able to receive age-related supplements. The monthly supplement ranges from 300 to 570 hryvnias, depending on age, and eligibility also depends on the total amount of pension payments.

This is reported by the “Sudovo-Yurydichna Gazeta” .

In November, age supplements are provided for pensioners who have reached the age of 70, 75 or 80. The amount of the supplement depends on the age category:

  • 300 hryvnias — for people aged 70 to 74;
  • 456 hryvnias — for pensioners aged 75 to 79;
  • 570 hryvnias – for citizens over 80 years of age.

After reaching the next age limit, no additional allowances are added. Instead, the amount of the additional payment increases according to the amount established for the new category.

In particular, after reaching the age of 75, a pensioner who received 300 hryvnias will be entitled to an allowance of 456 hryvnias. The actual increase will be 156 hryvnias.

The recalculation is carried out automatically, so there is no need to contact the Pension Fund of Ukraine or submit an application.

At the same time, the age allowance is assigned only to pensioners whose total payments, taking into account all supplements and increases, do not exceed 10,340.35 hryvnia.

According to the Pension Fund of Ukraine, as of October 1, 2026, the largest share was accounted for by old-age pensions — 72.25% of the total number of assigned payments. Disability pensions accounted for 15.12%, payments in connection with the loss of a breadwinner — 7.10%, long-service pensions — 5%, social pensions — 0.49%, and lifetime monetary maintenance of judges — 0.04%.

The average pension payment for pensioners who continue to work has increased to 8,019.18 hryvnias. In July, this figure was 7,994.17 hryvnias, an increase of 25.01 hryvnias.

The size of the pension depends on the length of insurance, salary, type of pension awarded, and the presence of additional payments. Therefore, the average does not reflect the amount that each pensioner actually receives.

Recall that Ukrainians who have reached the age of 65 but are not entitled to a pension due to insufficient insurance experience can apply for state social assistance . In 2026, the payment for this category is 30% of the subsistence minimum for persons who have lost their ability to work, or 778.5 hryvnias per month.
