Petro Poroshenko handed over the first batch of modernized Ai-Petri complexes to the troops
Petro Poroshenko handed over the first batch of modernized Ai-Petri counterintelligence systems to the units of the Defense Forces of Ukraine. In total, the military received 20 systems, worth 230 million hryvnias.
Petro Poroshenko announced this on his social networks.
According to the fifth President, the modernized complexes have become more powerful, have a wider operating range, greater range, and higher reliability.
“Our Armed Forces know how to be eloquent without unnecessary words. “The first one went,” – this is how the Special Operations Forces reported on the brilliant action to destroy the railway bridge over the North Crimean Canal in the temporarily occupied Crimea. This is the language of force that Putin understands. Successful strikes on bridges, oil reservoirs and power plants are not only destroyed objects. This is disrupted enemy logistics, a lack of fuel for Russian equipment and weakening the enemy. Our task is to support the Armed Forces in this,” Poroshenko emphasized.
He noted that the updated Ai-Petri complexes have become even more effective in combating reconnaissance and strike drones.
“They save the lives of our soldiers and protect them from enemy artillery fire. Technological advancement gives us a chance to be two steps ahead of the enemy,” Poroshenko emphasized.
According to him, during a recent visit to the Eurosatory 2026 international arms exhibition in France, he was convinced that Ukrainian developments are worthily represented at the world level.
Poroshenko also reported that the new batch of complexes was received by the military units that were the first to use Ai-Petri at the front. Along with the complexes, they were given cars equipped with electronic warfare equipment, Starlink terminals, and charging stations.
Separately, the fifth President criticized the government’s decision to withdraw 40 billion hryvnias from the budget of the Ministry of Defense, emphasizing that this does not contribute to strengthening the Ukrainian army.
At the same time, he expressed hope that the negotiations held during the Eurosatory 2026 exhibition with international partners, in particular from Denmark, will help attract additional funding for the needs of the Ukrainian military.
“We continue to rely on ourselves and the Armed Forces of Ukraine. I am convinced that in such reliable hands our complexes will best serve the Ukrainian people,” Petro Poroshenko concluded.
As previously reported, after a series of negotiations at the largest international defense industry exhibition Eurosatory 2026 in France, Petro Poroshenko announced new solutions that, according to him, will be a “surprise” for the Russian army.
