Petro Poroshenko will participate in the EPP anniversary summit in Brussels
The fifth President of Ukraine, leader of the European Solidarity party, Petro Poroshenko, will visit Brussels to participate in events marking the 50th anniversary of the founding of the European People’s Party, the most influential European political family, as well as the expanded EPP Summit.
Petro Poroshenko is scheduled to meet with leaders of sister parties of EU member states, representatives of the European Commission, and members of the European Parliament.
During the negotiations and speech at the enlarged EPP Summit, the leader of Eurosolidarity will outline his vision of ways to accelerate negotiations on ending the war, strengthening internal unity and overcoming the parliamentary crisis in Ukraine, as well as achieving the criteria for membership in the European Union.
The European People’s Party is the largest political grouping in the European Union, comprising 82 parties and partners from 43 countries, the President of the European Commission, the President of the European Parliament, 17 heads of state and government of the EU and non-EU countries, 14 members of the European Commission and the largest group in the European Parliament. The European Solidarity Party officially joined the European People’s Party in 2019, and on 10 March 2023, Eurosolidarity was granted associate member status of the European People’s Party.
