Plane with hundreds of passengers on board crashes in India
On Thursday, June 12, an Air India plane with more than 200 people on board crashed near the airport in the western Indian city of Ahmedabad.
This was reported by representatives of the airline and the police, Reuters reports.
It is currently unknown whether there are any fatalities from the plane crash.
Air India said the plane was heading to London Gatwick Airport in the UK, but police said it crashed in a civilian area near the airport.
Clash reports that the plane crashed right in a residential area.
Dozens of firefighters and ambulances are heading to the scene of the tragedy.
“We are currently working on the details and will share further updates,” Air India said in a post on social media.
Recall, on Saturday, May 31, in the town of Korschenbroch, located west of Düsseldorf, a light aircraft crashed into a residential building.
As reported, a Hornet fighter jet crashed in the Finnish city of Rovaniemi.
