Poland and Ukraine have reached a new level of military partnership. Warsaw plans to sign an agreement with Kyiv on the development of unmanned technologies, using Ukraine’s unique experience in warfare.

This was stated by Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosyniak-Kamysz during a visit to Kyiv, reports the Polish publication RMF24 .

According to him, the document will provide for joint projects and training of military personnel, taking into account Ukrainian experience in the use of drones on the battlefield. The minister emphasized that using this experience is key to transforming the Polish army and strengthening NATO’s defense capabilities.

He separately recalled the importance of developing the NATO-Ukraine Analysis, Training and Exercise Center (JATEC) in Bydgoszcz, which directly connects the Alliance with Ukraine.

Kosyniak-Kamysh emphasized that emotions in bilateral relations should not affect the strategic goals of neighbors.

“The enemy is elsewhere, and looking for him within us is a mistake,” the Polish minister emphasized.

In Kyiv, the Polish minister also visited the military cemetery in Bykivna and held meetings with Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council Rustem Umerov, and other senior officials.

As is known, on the night of September 9-10, Russia carried out a massive attack on Ukraine, during which some of the drones violated Polish airspace . This forced Warsaw to raise its aviation and activate its air defense forces. In total, 19 drones crossed the Polish border, of which only four were shot down.

Against the backdrop of these events, NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte announced the launch of Operation Eastern Sentinel , and the very next day Poland announced its own military operation.

Polish President Karol Nawrocki also stated that his country should strive to deploy nuclear weapons on its territory and participate in nuclear sharing. He emphasized that he sees this as a strong security guarantee and relies on France’s support in developing military and energy nuclear capabilities.
