Poland Steps Up: New Military Aid Package for Ukraine Announced
Ukraine and Poland are intensifying their military partnership: Foreign Ministers Andriy Sybiha and Radosław Sikorski have launched coordination on the next three consecutive defense aid packages — the 47th, 48th, and 49th — signaling unwavering support amid growing security challenges.
This was reported by Ukrinform.
“Today, we discussed the continuation of military cooperation between Poland and Ukraine in confronting Russian aggression and imperialism. We reviewed the implementation of the 47th military assistance package and ongoing work on the 48th and 49th packages, which are particularly important for Ukraine, as they will significantly strengthen our neighbor’s defense capabilities this year,” said Polish Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski.
At the same time, he noted that he would not disclose specific details of Poland’s military assistance publicly.
Sikorski also emphasized that Poland is encouraged by the fact that arguments for maintaining and increasing support for Ukraine are being positively received by key international partners, particularly the United States.
As previously noted, Poland is preparing another package of military assistance for Ukraine, its cost is 200 million euros.
By the way, Polish President Andrzej Duda criticized the approach of Western partners and Ukraine to Poland’s role in the process of providing military assistance. In particular, he mentioned the airport in Rzeszów, which has become a key logistics hub.
