Poland has not yet transferred MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine and is continuing negotiations on the terms of such a transfer.
This was reported by Radio ZET with reference to the Deputy Minister of Defense of Poland, Cezary Tomczyk.
According to him, there is no final decision from the government yet. Poland is waiting for the dialogue to be completed and the conditions for the transfer of the aircraft to be determined.
Tomczyk emphasized that Warsaw expects to benefit from this process, taking into account the balance of interests.
He also noted that consultations are ongoing regarding what Poland could receive in exchange for the fighters.
At the same time, the Ukrainian side is currently paying more attention to the development of air and missile defense, rather than the transfer of combat aircraft.
It was previously reported that Poland had agreed to transfer less than ten MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine as part of military assistance to protect against full-scale Russian aggression.
