Warsaw Signals Possible MiG-29 Handover to Ukraine as Decision Remains Pending

Poland has not ruled out transferring MiG-29 fighter jets to Ukraine, but Warsaw says the move could only take place as part of a potential exchange deal. A final decision has not yet been made.
This was stated by Polish Defense Minister Wladyslaw Kosiniak-Kamysz, reports “European Truth.”
According to the head of the Polish Ministry of Defense, Ukraine remains interested in receiving the aircraft and has already made a request to Warsaw.
“This issue has not yet been resolved. We have received a request from the Ukrainian side, which states that it is still interested in this,” Kosiniak-Kamysh said.
He also reported that Ukraine has offered Poland an option that involves transferring drones to the Polish side within the next two years.
According to the minister, this is why Warsaw is considering transferring fighter jets in a mutual exchange.
“Such an exchange possibility is realistic, but it should be an exchange, not just a unilateral transfer from Poland. We are approaching this very carefully,” Kosiniak-Kamysh emphasized.
As reported, Poland does not plan to transfer MiG-29 fighters to Ukraine, as Kyiv allegedly failed to fulfill agreements on cooperation in unmanned technologies.
