Poland under threat: Tusk to convene ministers over night air raid alert

On the morning of September 10, Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk initiated an urgent government meeting due to an incident involving the violation of the country’s airspace by Russian drones.

This was announced by the spokesman for the Polish government, Adam Szlapka.

According to the official, Tusk held a meeting with key ministers responsible for national security issues at around 6:20 a.m. local time. An expanded Cabinet meeting is scheduled for 8 a.m.

Shlapka called the night’s events “unprecedented” and stressed that the government is responding to the situation as quickly as possible.

A briefing is also expected at the National Security Bureau with the participation of Polish President Karol Nawrocki and the Prime Minister, during which the official position on the incident will be announced.

It was previously reported that hostile objects similar to drones that penetrated from the Ukrainian border during the Russian Federation’s massive attack on Ukraine were detected in Polish airspace.

As a reminder, on the night of September 10 , Russia carried out another combined air attack on the territory of Ukraine, using both strike drones and cruise missiles . Several Ukrainian cities came under fire.

As reported, on the night of September 9-10, the situation in Eastern Europe escalated again – Russia launched a massive strike on the territory of Ukraine, while a number of enemy drones crossed the air border of Poland . This forced Warsaw to activate air defense forces and engage aviation.
