Polish President Karol Nawrocki has signed a law that provides for further financing of the subscription fee for Starlink terminals in Ukraine.

This was announced by First Deputy Prime Minister – Minister of Digital Transformation Mykhailo Fedorov.

“In times of war, this technology is of critical importance – to keep hospitals, schools, critical infrastructure, and frontline regions connected. […] I thank the Polish Minister of Digitalization, Krzysztof Gawkowski, and the entire Polish government for their solidarity and steadfast support for Ukraine,” Fedorov emphasized.

He noted that currently more than 50 thousand Starlink terminals are operating in Ukraine, of which more than 29 thousand were provided by Poland. For Ukrainian military and civilian users, Starlink remains an indispensable means of communication on the front line, as the system is resistant to cyberattacks and electronic warfare. No other technology is yet able to match it in scale and efficiency.

Earlier, the Commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Robert “Magyar” Brovdi, stated that on the morning of September 15 , the Ukrainian military encountered a large-scale Starlink malfunction , which simultaneously covered the entire front line.

By the way, the Polish government has adopted amendments to the law that provide for the restoration of Starlink funding for Ukraine.

It was previously reported that Poland is suspending Starlink funding for Ukraine after President Karol Nawrocki vetoed a law that would have allowed continued support through the Ukraine Assistance Fund.
