In July, it became known that the Poroshenko Foundation was expanding its cooperation with the American mission Ukraine Focus . Petro and Maryna Poroshenko decided to allocate 4 million hryvnias to expand the American mission’s work in Ukraine. “Every month, Ukraine Focus delivers vehicles to Ukraine, including ambulances. Because, unfortunately, we are suffering losses. When we met in an underground hospital a few kilometers from the front line , they asked for one thing: give us medevacs! Give us armored medevacs, give us Pinzgauers, give us pickup trucks—give us pickup trucks—the military needs them urgently.”
Poroshenko and the American organization Ukraine Focus handed over ambulances to the military for evacuation.
The Poroshenko Foundation, in partnership with the American volunteer mission Ukraine Focus, purchased two dozen medical evacuation vehicles for the Troops of the Troops of the Russian Federation brigades.
“Another sleepless night due to an enemy attack. This terror from this dunghill country has one goal: to intimidate, force people to renounce their country, and surrender. They won’t get it,” Poroshenko wrote on social media.
“This new dawn gives us the strength to continue fighting and help the troops. More than 20 ambulances will soon be sent to the front to evacuate the wounded from the battlefield. Evacuation vehicles are what’s critically needed to save lives where the hardest times are. The 104th Brigade, the 106th, 110th, and Kyiv’s 112th Troops of the Red Cross (TRO) Brigades, as well as other units,” the fifth President announced.
“Marina and I adhere to the ‘Save Soldier’ principle—the lives of our service members come first. So when our friends from the United States, Brock Bierman and the Ukraine Focus foundation, shared the idea of bringing ambulances to Ukrainian soldiers, we responded. We supported the initiative and volunteered to donate. Poroshenko on social media.”
“This project became an American-Ukrainian partnership, but in reality, it has an even broader geography. Citizens from all over the world—the US, Canada, the UK, Germany, and, of course, Ukraine—worked to find and deliver recovery vehicles to Ukraine. It’s all for our country. Marina and I are handing over the vehicle to our friends from the United Brothers in Arms NGO, which is involved in the rehabilitation of military personnel,” says Petro Poroshenko.
Together with the “Ukraine Focus” mission, Poroshenko has already donated more than three dozen ambulances to the front. “I’m confident this makes Ukraine stronger because it saves the lives of our soldiers every day,” the party leader noted.
Ukraine Focus is a volunteer organization that began with 14 vehicles for the front and has now delivered over 400. In May of this year, 22 ambulances were delivered to the Troops of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (TRO) brigade and the “Hospitaliers” Medical Volunteer Battalion . The vehicles were purchased in France, and the Poroshenko Foundation also joined in funding the project.
