Poroshenko at the Eurosatory 2026 arms exhibition: to win, we must be 3-4 steps ahead of the enemy

Petro Poroshenko visited the Eurosatory 2026 international defense exhibition in France, where the latest developments in the field of security and defense from more than 60 countries around the world were presented.

According to Poroshenko, one of the main tasks of his team during the visit was to find new technological solutions to protect Ukraine’s critical infrastructure.

“Today, at the invitation of the organizers, I came to the largest military weapons exhibition in Europe, Eurosatory. Here, together with my team, we are looking for innovative solutions for our own developments. The main task is to improve our means of protecting critical infrastructure facilities,” the fifth President noted.

Poroshenko said that the exhibition features thousands of developments from companies from the USA, Great Britain, Germany, Poland, Turkey, Italy, Sweden and other countries.

According to him, this year, Ukrainian manufacturers of drones, ground robotic complexes, as well as software and hardware solutions for the defense sector are attracting special attention.

“Ukrainian manufacturers who work directly with the front also came to France. They are the ones who best understand how modern warfare is changing,” Poroshenko emphasized.

The opposition leader also stated the need to provide Ukrainian defense enterprises with the opportunity to export products that are not purchased by the state.

“What are arms manufacturers complaining about? They have huge production potential, but they face a complete ban on exports. We are working on legislative solutions that will allow Ukrainian manufacturers to enter foreign markets,” he said.

According to Poroshenko, this will allow attracting additional funds for the development of defense technologies and investments in new developments.

“How can we make the Armed Forces of Ukraine the strongest? We have to be three or four steps ahead of the Russians,” the fifth President is convinced.

He also noted that the European Solidarity team will continue to work on solutions that will help the Ukrainian defense industry and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
