Poroshenko at the Eurosatory arms exhibition: our main value is our soldiers, who must be protected by new technologies
Today, Ukrainian military experience is being closely studied all over the world, and the latest technologies should primarily protect the Ukrainian military.
This was reported by the press service of the European Solidarity party.
Petro Poroshenko, who is at the largest international exhibition of ground and air-ground defense and security Eurosatory 2026, said that it is Ukraine that is shaping the future of modern warfare today.
“At the Eurosatory-2026 defense exhibition today, you can see the future. Drones that independently find targets. Robots that replace people in the most dangerous areas. Artificial intelligence that analyzes the battlefield faster than a person. Here, the future is no longer predicted – it is demonstrated. And among all these technologies, one feeling does not leave me: Ukraine has become one of those who shape the future,” Poroshenko noted.
According to him, if earlier Ukrainians came to such exhibitions to gain experience, now everything has changed.
“We used to come to such exhibitions to learn. Today, people come here to learn from us. As the head of one of the leading arms companies told me, it was the Ukrainian military and Ukrainian engineers who wrote the new textbook of modern warfare. And they wrote it not in offices or laboratories, but in the trenches of Donbas and in the sky above Kyiv,” the fifth President emphasized.
Poroshenko noted that Ukrainian drones, electronic warfare systems, and means of countering enemy intelligence have already become a new standard that is being studied in different countries of the world today.
At the same time, according to him, some manufacturers still offer solutions that no longer meet the modern conditions of war.
“I noticed anti-drone rifles at several stands, which are ineffective in our realities today,” he noted.
The Fifth President emphasized that the future of war lies in the integrated application of modern technologies.
“But the war against Russia proved a simple thing: the future does not belong to individual weapons. The future belongs to a system where artificial intelligence, PDTR, EW and interceptor drones work as a single organism. Because our greatest value is people. The Ukrainian military, whom new technologies should protect. This is the future. And today our military is protecting the ability to create such new technologies,” Petro Poroshenko concluded.
