Poroshenko Delivers Major Drone and Equipment Shipment to Kharkiv Front
The fifth President of Ukraine and leader of European Solidarity, Petro Poroshenko, visited the Kharkiv front line to deliver drones, repair tools, and essential equipment to brigades and battalions actively engaged in combat.
This was reported by the press service of Eurosolidarity.
“I know I’ve posted many updates about another trip and more aid. Some may expect something new from us. But despite everything, the army remains our priority. That is why today we are once again at the Kharkiv direction. The situation there is difficult. The Kharkiv front is strategically vital for preserving our state. For our team, it is where many party members, friends, and brothers stand. That is why they are in our thoughts and hearts every day,” Poroshenko said.
“Orders for equipment from units accumulate quite quickly, so a whole column of cargo came out. There is a lot of equipment: in addition to FPV drones and Mavics, there are evacuation vehicles, a digger for caponiers, and workshops for repairing transport. It was not without a washing and shower complex,” the fifth President noted.
In total, the military received an excavator, a Land Rover armored recovery vehicle, a mobile repair shop, a mobile charging station, a Run Flat mobile tire fitting complex, a washing and shower complex, 10 ATVs, 425 FPV drones, including fiber-optic ones, 12 DJI “Mavic” day and night, “Shatro” electronic warfare complexes, charging stations, and electronic equipment.
“After that, we will return to Kyiv, where the parliament will adopt a fateful decision on the independence of anti-corruption bodies. In 2015-2016, our team carried out a reform, creating an anti-corruption infrastructure: NABU, SAPO, as well as the Supreme Anti-Corruption Court and NACP,” Poroshenko noted.
“Why is this important? We need to prevent embezzlement in weapons procurement, pressure on the Defense Procurement Agency, and embezzlement through prepayment. We must not allow budget funds to leak into the pockets of officials, or theft in the energy sector. Therefore, European Solidarity submitted an alternative bill on NABU and SAPO to correct the shortcomings of the presidential one,” the party leader reminded.
“This is our responsibility to the soldiers, who must know what they are in the trenches for. To our friends and fellow soldiers, whom we see today,” Poroshenko emphasized.
On the eve, July 25, Petro Poroshenko handed over to the units of the Airborne Assault Forces unique developments that will help to quickly repair military equipment. As well as a new excavator for the construction of fortifications.
