Poroshenko brought generators to Sumy region for DFTG, which is hunting for “Shahedy”
The fifth President of Ukraine and leader of the “European Solidarity” Petro Poroshenko, during a trip to Sumy region, handed over two diesel generators to local defense forces who are hunting for Russian “Shaheeds”.
This was reported by the press service of Eurosolidarity .
It turned out that the leadership of the Sumy MVA did not pay for electricity for the DFTG and actually paralyzed the work of volunteers from the fire groups.
“A small village in Sumy Oblast. The sky smells of war – the line where the fighting is taking place is about 20 kilometers. People feel the front approaching. Recently, one flew here right next to the school. Some left even earlier, the majority stayed and work for the village and the country. Locals are developing agriculture, maintaining production, volunteering. In a word, they are holding on,” the fifth President shared his impressions of the trip.
“On the way from the front, I stopped by with Marina to personally hear about the situation, which is outrageous. The authorities have not paid the electricity bills for the voluntary formation of a territorial community. The guys are hunting for the “Shahedys”, people’s lives depend on them. But their work is blocked,” Poroshenko was indignant.
“We know how difficult the situation is here. We were taking equipment and other assistance to the guys at the front, so we were able to immediately hand over two generators to the community. While we were talking, a dozen military men drove past us. They honked, greeted each other, stopped, and took pictures. I was glad to see you, friends. We’re holding on!”, Petro Poroshenko emphasized.
