Poroshenko called for an end to dirty information attacks on the opposition, military, and public activists.
Petro Poroshenko called on the authorities on social media to stop the vile information attacks on European Solidarity deputies, public activists, volunteers, and military personnel.
“A new wave of fakes. One of the targets was Mykola Kniazhytskyi, our colleague, an active participant in the Orange Revolution and the Revolution of Dignity, like Andriy Parubiy, a co-author of the Law on the Ukrainian Language. Old fakes from the Yanukovych era are being disseminated by Russian garbage dumps and Telegram channels.
“Those who should be fighting disinformation are creating it themselves. They’re spreading information garbage against the opposition and helping the Kremlin attack Ukrainian democracy,” Poroshenko noted.
“Many members of our team have been under attack recently. In fact, those who have been defending Ukrainian identity, democracy, and the army for years. They are also attacking activists, volunteers, military personnel, and anti-corruption activists. They are doing everything the European Commission demands they stop,” warns Petro Poroshenko.
“They use aunties against dissenters: physical and informational. Because pseudo-experts and ‘hymn-makers’ with criminal records are just that – aunties. In the service of today’s Zakharchenkos and Klyuyevs. I don’t want to remind you how and where they all ended up,” the party leader concludes.
