Poroshenko called for increasing real funding for the army

Now we need to resolve specific issues so that Ukraine can survive – vote on the law on personal income tax, pass an appeal to the US Congress, make a decision to ban the transit of Russian oil, and increase real funding for the army.

The fifth president of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, said this while speaking from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada.

“There were brilliant negotiations at the G7 summit between Ukraine and the United States. The US Congress together with the Senate is forming powerful financial and armed support for Ukraine. European partners are preparing military units to implement the “Boots on the Ground” program and to deploy their troops on the territory of Ukraine as a guarantor of security,” he commented ironically.

“The Armed Forces of Ukraine provide everything necessary – electronic warfare, FPO, artillery shells, financial support. And what they say is not so – this is the Russian IPSO. Ukrainian refugees in European countries are packing their suitcases to return to Ukraine, as a result of the work of the ministry with an obscene name.”

“The night missile attack on Kyiv, you dreamed it, because the air defense shot down ballistic missiles and martyrs far beyond Kiev. And Putin has already won our power, and there is time and inspiration to persecute the opposition,” he added.

“Unfortunately, I have to bring you back to earth from the land of dreams. Now the authorities are conducting an absolutely mocking scenario of attack on the opposition – according to the scenario of the will of Portnov, Shufrich, Derkach, Sivkovich, Kiva and all the other authors of statements to the prosecutor’s office on criminal cases against me,” emphasized p.

“Today we have only one thing left – to provide for multiple citizenship for those refugees who are packing their suitcases, because all other situations have already been resolved. This is not the case,” he noted.

“But it is possible to do what depends on the parliament – finally vote on the law on personal income tax, pass an appeal to the US Congress, make a decision to ban the transit of Russian oil, increase real financing, stopping the single marathon, the thousand and other things. Today – this is what the parliament needs to do – this is your and my responsibility.”
