Poroshenko calls for creation of national unity coalition and stop destruction of democratic reforms

Petro Poroshenko, during his speech from the rostrum of the Verkhovna Rada, called for immediate correction of the mistakes that destroy the trust of society and Western allies of Ukraine. In particular, to restore the independence of anti-corruption bodies, appoint the head of the BEB, and reboot the DBR.

According to the fifth president, if a coalition of national unity had been created in Ukraine, such fatal mistakes could have been avoided.

“First of all, I would like to address words of gratitude to those who are not indifferent, who came out to the Mariinsky Palace today and support the decisive vote in this hall. It is especially important to feel this after such a night, when there were endless Shaheds, Iskanders. Six dead,” Poroshenko said.

“Who decided that Putin and the Russian occupation are less dangerous than SAP and NABU? What the Verkhovna Rada did on the 22nd is not just a blow to NABU and SAP. It is a blow to our relations with partners, undermining the trust of partners in the government. And that means stopping weapons, stopping money, stopping sanctions, stopping sanctions, stopping sanctions, stopping sanctions, stopping sanctions,” the fifth president.

“What we didn’t do – “European Solidarity” and “Voice” blocked the podium, took breaks, removed the leadership of the Rada, you, because of your “turbo regime”, predicted this, and now you are reaping the fruits,” Poroshenko said.

“I am convinced that everyone who took part in this scenario must be held accountable. How will representatives of parliamentary delegations represent the parliament and our entire state in the structures of the European Union? How will the leadership of the parliament be held accountable for violating the regulations and the turbo regime?” Poroshenko noted.

“I returned from the front this morning – the Kharkiv direction. The fate of the state and your fate are being decided there. People are indignant that a second front is opening here, when corrupt rats are trying to break through the defense. And only mass actions of young people stopped this process,” the party leader noted.

“But voting is not everything. We need a reboot of the DBR. Reappointment of the head of the Bureau of Economic Security. Restoration of the broadcast in full. Lifting the authoritarian travel ban. Stopping the persecution of the opposition and returning to freedom, to democracy. And to a coalition of national unity, because then this nonsense – it would be.”

Let us recall that on July 31, the Verkhovna Rada voted for a bill that returns independence to the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office.
