Poroshenko criticized plans to increase salaries for security forces in the rear

Petro Poroshenko criticized the government’s plans for distributing international financial assistance and emphasized that the funds should primarily go to the military on the front lines, and not to increase the salaries of security forces in the rear.

This is reported by “European Solidarity”.

The Fifth President noted that in the coming days, the Verkhovna Rada will consider a government bill to allocate one and a half trillion hryvnias for the needs of the Defense Forces.

“It is extremely important that every hryvnia in war conditions works effectively, transparently, and primarily for those who hold the front. Because of the entire amount, only one and a half billion hryvnias will go to the needs of the Ministry of Defense, while twenty billion are allocated to other law enforcement agencies,” Poroshenko emphasized.

According to him, 16 billion of these funds are received by the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and this is what raises serious questions.

“We are categorically against the situation where financial support is increased for those who are in the rear and not related to the country’s defense, while those who are on the front lines today are deprived of it,” he emphasized.

Poroshenko noted that these resources should be received by units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, the National Guard, the National Police, the Security Service of Ukraine, and other structures that directly perform combat missions.

He also reported on the transfer of another batch of Ai-Petri counterintelligence systems to the Defense Forces units.

This time, the military received five new systems that are already working to protect the front, rear, and critical infrastructure.

According to Poroshenko, more than 300 Ai-Petri complexes are currently operating at the front, and the team is already preparing new solutions to protect the energy sector and the country before the winter period.

It should be noted that Petro Poroshenko handed over a batch of drones and equipment for units of various branches of the armed forces worth over UAH 28 million.

As a reminder, Petro Poroshenko transferred another batch of ATVs, dome electronic warfare equipment, sawmills, and trucks to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
