Poroshenko demonstrated how the volunteer hub operates at the party office: today, scarce tires and workshops were sent to the troops.
A large shipment of tires and mobile repair shops for military equipment is the latest aid package prepared by Petro Poroshenko’s team for the front.
Since the start of the full-scale invasion, the European Solidarity office has become a true volunteer hub, and the total amount of support for the Ukrainian Armed Forces has reached 7 billion 760 million hryvnias.

“Finally, after a difficult winter, spring has arrived. And with it, new challenges, new requests from the military for equipment and weapons. We’re welcoming the first rays of sunshine at our volunteer hub. It was here that we collected aid for Kyiv residents suffering from the cold. And simultaneously, large shipments of equipment for the front,” Poroshenko recalled .

“Our office served as a hub for assistance not only this winter, but throughout the years leading up to the full-scale invasion. In 2018, we created an open space where we made effective decisions on the development of the state and our European integration movement. When COVID-19 struck, hundreds of volunteers packed food packages for Ukrainians within these walls. From here, we donated ventilators to hospitals and protective equipment for doctors. Back then, it seemed like these were our biggest challenges,” the fifth President noted.

“On February 24, 2022, hundreds of volunteers from all over the city began to gather at our office to receive weapons and ammunition. We then decided to form the 206th Territorial Defense Battalion, which produced four brigade commanders, dozens of battalion commanders, and hundreds of heroes. Since then, throughout the four years of the full-scale invasion, the European Solidarity office has been one of the largest volunteer hubs. Open to military personnel and volunteers, it assembles and sends hundreds of pieces of equipment to the front lines,” writes Petro Poroshenko.
The cost of today’s assistance is 21 million hryvnias. Overall, tires for the Ukrainian Armed Forces alone have reached half a billion. “In 2022, the military called wheels a treasure trove. And that’s true: there’s a catastrophic shortage of tires, and we’re ‘converting’ entire units from winter to summer tires and vice versa. This time, these are airborne assault, artillery, mechanized, and airmobile brigades, a special forces unit, and a drone battalion,” Poroshenko explains, adding: “Along with the tires, we’re also donating two tire-fitting systems that use run-flat technology, which allows for movement afterwards.”
“Imagine if a raider attack had been launched against us, dozens of units would have been left without help. I thank these guys for supporting each other for these 12 years and for not submitting to either foreign lice or local scum. We are doing everything possible to help defeat the enemy,” Petro Poroshenko emphasizes.
