Poroshenko discussed Ukrainian-Polish strategic partnership with MP Koval
Petro Poroshenko met with the Chairman of the Committee on Foreign Affairs of the Sejm of Poland, Commissioner of the Polish Government for the Reconstruction of Ukraine, Pawel Kowal.
“We exchanged views on the key priorities of Ukraine, Poland and our allies at this crucial stage. Considerable attention was paid to approaches to a ceasefire and the end of the war. Our position is unchanged: diplomacy must be based on force. That is why it is necessary to continue to increase pressure on Russia, because Putin does not understand any other language,” Poroshenko wrote on social networks .
“Of course, we discussed Ukrainian-Polish relations separately. Our task is to reduce the degree of tension around sensitive issues, conduct an honest and open dialogue, and seek solutions that meet the national interests of both states. The Ukrainian-Polish strategic partnership must continue to remain one of the key factors in strengthening European security, unity, and resilience in the face of common challenges, and Ukraine’s integration into the EU. I noted the importance of preventing the growth of mutual tension between Ukrainians and Poles,” the fifth President emphasized.
“Special attention was paid to strengthening internal stability in Ukraine. We agreed to continue coordinating our approaches in the interests of Ukraine, Poland and United Europe, ending the war and restoring peace,” Poroshenko writes.
