Poroshenko handed over 25 Ai-Petri complexes to the troops, for the first time financed jointly with Western allies
Petro Poroshenko handed over another batch of Ai-Petri counterintelligence systems to the troops. The total cost of 25 systems is UAH 260 million.
This is reported by “European Solidarity”.
The Fifth President also spoke about the results of the meeting of the leaders of parliamentary factions with Prime Minister Yulia Svyrydenko, Minister of Finance Serhiy Marchenko, and Deputy Prime Minister Taras Kachka.
“Prime Minister Svyrydenko assured me that in July the Verkhovna Rada will consider a draft military reform, which will include the demands of European Solidarity,” Poroshenko said.
According to him, the reform should provide for an increase in the financial support of the military to 30 thousand hryvnias, and for those who directly perform tasks on the front line – to 250-400 thousand hryvnias.
“This will also mean setting deadlines for service. This will be a motivation for both those who are just signing a contract and those who are already serving in the military,” the opposition leader noted.
At the same time, Poroshenko criticized the decision to withdraw UAH 40 billion from the budget of the Ministry of Defense, which was previously planned to be spent on the purchase of weapons.
“Yesterday in the Verkhovna Rada, the authorities took away 40 billion hryvnias from the army, which were planned for the purchase of weapons. Meanwhile, we are transferring another shipment of 25 Ai-Petri PDTR complexes to the army,” he emphasized.
Poroshenko also reported that part of this delivery was financed by international partners.
“For the first time, part of the payment was made at the expense of our foreign partners. One of the NATO countries purchased Ukrainian equipment for the Armed Forces of Ukraine. This is a true recognition of the Ukrainian defense industry,” the fifth President noted.
“Our team is working to close the sky at the front with as many Ai-Petri complexes as possible,” Poroshenko summarized.
Earlier it was reported that Petro Poroshenko transferred another batch of ATVs, dome electronic warfare equipment, sawmills, and trucks to the units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
