Poroshenko in the Rada: Kyiv residents are being deprived of 8 billion hryvnias not for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but for the authorities’ pre-election whims
Petro Poroshenko harshly criticized the changes to the State Budget introduced by the Cabinet of Ministers in the Rada.
According to the fifth President, changing the budget before the change of government is illogical. He also noted that 8 billion hryvnias are being taken from the Kyiv budget to the Reserve Fund, which will not go to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, but will be spent on the authorities’ pre-election projects.
“We are now witnessing the final multiplication of parliament by zero – the complete removal of parliament from the budget process. This is contrary to what we hear in this hall. Please tell me, who is ahead – the cart or the horse? You are proposing to vote on the budget right before the resignation of the government. The government that planned the budget is resigning, and someone else will implement it. This is a lie,” Poroshenko believes.
“Now you want to increase the Reserve Fund. You take 8 billion from all Kiev residents and transfer it not to the Armed Forces – you transfer it to the Reserve Fund. Look how the Reserve Fund of the current budget is used. Only 4 billion were used for the needs of the Armed Forces for fortifications. You are engaged in elections. This is where the “warrior thousand” comes from, this is where the cashback comes from.
