Poroshenko, Krivonos, and Fedorov became some of the main targets of discreditation in anonymous Telegram channels.

Petro Poroshenko, Semyon Krivonos, and Mykhailo Fedorov are among five media figures who have been the subject of the most defamatory posts in anonymous Ukrainian Telegram channels over the past four months.

People’s Deputy Yaroslav Zheleznyak reported on the monitoring results.

The study analyzed over 100,800 posts published between June 1 and September 23 in 20 popular anonymous Telegram channels. Of these, 6,305 messages were identified as defamatory.

According to Zheleznyak’s calculations, in general, the most frequent targets of such publications were:

• Mikhail Fedorov – 72 publications;
• Vitaly Shabunin – 62;
• Semyon Krivonos – 56;
• Petro Poroshenko – 56;
• Yuri Nikolov – 19.

The researcher conditionally divided the channels into two networks, which, in his opinion, could be connected to the SBU and the GUR.

In the first network, more publications concerned Shabunin – 42, Poroshenko – 37, Krivonos – 27, Fedorov – 18, and Nikolov – 16.

In the second network, Fedorov led in the number of such publications with 36. Next came Krivonos with 19, Shabunin with 11, Poroshenko with 10, and Zheleznyak himself with 5.

According to the MP, Krivonos was the only common target of both networks. At the same time, Fedorov was the only one of the five individuals about whom discrediting publications appeared monthly throughout the entire monitoring period.

The number of such reports about Fedorov was 8 in June, 16 in July, 14 in August and 34 in September.

The data presented reflects the results of the study’s authors’ monitoring and assessment of the nature of publications and the possible origins of Telegram networks. The figures themselves do not constitute proof that specific channels belong to the aforementioned entities.

As a reminder, anonymous Telegram channels with millions of followers are systematically slinging mud at the leader of European Solidarity, the fifth President, Petro Poroshenko.
