The fifth President of Ukraine, Petro Poroshenko, commented on the searches that the State Bureau of Investigation is conducting at the well-known drone manufacturer Vyriy.

This was reported by the press service of “European Solidarity”.

“As long as the ‘witch hunt’ continues, Ukraine will lose hundreds of drones that could stop the enemy and protect the lives of Ukrainian soldiers,” Poroshenko commented on the situation.

He noted that his foundation was one of the first to start purchasing drones with its own funds.

“During the entire time of the full-scale invasion, we have signed contracts for over 60,000 FPV drones. This ensured 25,000 hits on targets, which is the highest indicator of effectiveness in the Armed Forces of Ukraine,” Poroshenko emphasized.

According to him, cooperation with the drone manufacturer “Viriy” began in 2023, when the state did not yet consider drones as one of the key tools of modern warfare.

Poroshenko noted that the Vyriy drones remain the best in terms of price-quality ratio, as evidenced, he said, by the military’s feedback. He also criticized some of the FPV drones that the state purchased.

According to the politician, during this time, drones were transferred to hundreds of brigades, and the military requested Vyriy’s products, because the foundation provided direct communication with the manufacturer. Thanks to this, the company received feedback from the military and constantly improved its products. In addition, the drones were supplied completely ready for use (with an initiation fee), so they did not require further development in military workshops. Vyriy was also one of the first to start producing fiber-optic FPV drones.

Poroshenko said that major contracts between his foundation and Vyry were terminated after the introduction of sanctions, which, he said, led to the blocking of his accounts.

“And now, after the searches and mockery of Ukrainian generals, the SBI has decided to break up the Ukrainian drone industry,” he said.

In particular, Poroshenko expressed the opinion that the rule of law in Ukraine should begin not with searches of those who fight or provide weapons to the front, but with the reform of the State Bureau of Investigation in accordance with the requirements of the European Union.

“Every day, as long as the ‘witch hunt’ continues, Ukraine will lose hundreds of drones that could stop the enemy and protect the lives of Ukrainian soldiers,” he concluded.
