The occupation administration of Crimea plans to involve Chinese businesses in the development of transport infrastructure on the peninsula. The relevant decision was made by the head of the occupation administration of Crimea, Sergey Aksenov.

This was reported by the Foreign Intelligence Service of Ukraine.

As noted by the SZRU, at one of the recent meetings, Aksyonov announced the achievement of preliminary agreements regarding two infrastructure facilities:

– Kerch seaport, which, according to available information, is used by Russia for “gray” exports
– the area around Lake Donuzlav, where the Russian naval base is located

The occupation authorities intend to invite potential Chinese partners to Crimea to sign final agreements. Among the likely executors is the China State Construction Engineering Corporation (CSCEC), one of the leading players in large-scale infrastructure construction.

The estimated investment amount is 10 billion US dollars.

As a reminder, on June 16, the Council of the European Union renewed the sanctions imposed against Russia in response to the annexation of Crimea , extending them until June 23, 2026.

As reported, the spokesman for the Naval Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Colonel Dmytro Pletenchuk, said that the Russians are strengthening air defense in temporarily occupied Crimea, removing air defense systems from other areas.
