Possible poisoning in the Rada: sanitary service is conducting an inspection

On Thursday, February 12, the Verkhovna Rada temporarily suspended the work of the parliamentary dining room due to possible poisoning of MPs. A sanitary inspection of the premises is currently underway.

This was announced by the press service of the Verkhovna Rada Apparatus, Ukrinform reports.

“Immediately after receiving the relevant information, an inspection was initiated. Currently, specialists from the sanitary and epidemiological service are conducting a survey to clarify the circumstances and the list of food products consumed. Samples are being taken for laboratory tests,” the press service noted.

According to preliminary data, the version of rotavirus or other acute intestinal infection is being considered.

The parliament emphasizes that it is too early to draw final conclusions.

“Final conclusions can be made only after receiving the results of laboratory tests. The results of the inspection will be reported additionally,” the Verkhovna Rada emphasized.
