Power outage on October 8: where and when the schedules will be in effect

In Ukraine, on Thursday, October 8, hourly power outage schedules will be in effect in some regions throughout the day. The restrictions are being introduced due to the consequences of Russian attacks on energy facilities.

This was reported by Ukrenergo.

Hourly outage schedules for the public and other categories of consumers will be in effect from 00:00 to 23:59. From 0.5 to 1.5 queues of consumers will be turned off simultaneously.

At the same time, capacity limitation schedules will apply to industry and business.

Ukrenergo explained that the restrictions had to be introduced due to the consequences of Russian missile and drone attacks on energy infrastructure.

At the same time, the situation in the power system may change. Consumers are advised to check the exact time and volume of outages in a specific region on the websites of local regional energy companies.

Ukrainians were also urged to use electricity sparingly when it is available on schedule.
