Today, October 23, hourly power outages are in effect in twelve regions of Ukraine from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM. As a result of new Russian attacks, power outages are occurring in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.
Ukrenergo reported this.
It is noted that due to the consequences of previous Russian attacks, in particular the massive missile and drone attack on the power grid on October 22, hourly power outage schedules of up to three stages simultaneously are in effect in twelve regions from 7:00 AM to 11:00 PM today. At the same time, power limitation schedules for industry and businesses are also in effect in the same regions.
Additionally, due to new Russian strikes, power was knocked out this morning to consumers in the Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions. Power workers are doing everything possible to restore service to the damaged equipment as quickly as possible.
Electricity consumption in Ukraine as of 6:00 a.m. Thursday is consistent with the previous day’s consumption. However, due to the application of power outage schedules, the daily peak consumption on October 22 was 7.1% lower than the peak on October 21.
“The need to conserve electricity remains. If you currently have power, please limit the use of high-power electrical appliances as much as possible until 11:00 PM,” Ukrenergo emphasizes.
