On Saturday, October 11, some customers in the Odesa region were left without power due to the aftermath of Russian shelling. Hourly outages are in effect in the Chernihiv region.
Ukrenergo reports this.
The agency notes that a nighttime drone attack on energy infrastructure resulted in power outages in the Odessa region.
“Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore damaged equipment to service as quickly as possible and restore service to all customers,” the company stated.
In the affected regions, following the massive missile and drone attack on October 10, power has already been restored, and emergency shutdowns are no longer in effect.
In the Chernihiv region, Chernihivblenergo continues hourly outages in two stages due to damage to energy facilities.
Electricity consumption also remains high due to cloudy weather throughout Ukraine, which reduces the efficiency of domestic solar power stations.
“We ask that you use electricity sparingly and not turn on several powerful devices simultaneously during peak hours – from 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM,” Ukrenergo urged.
As a reminder, on the night of Saturday, October 11, Russian forces launched a massive attack using 78 attack drones of various types. Ukrainian air defense forces shot down or suppressed 54 of the drones.
