Power outages reported in six regions due to Russian attack
On the night of February 22, Russian forces launched a combined missile and drone attack on energy infrastructure in several regions of Ukraine. The strikes resulted in power outages in six regions.
Ukrenergo reported this.
Consumers in the Odessa, Kyiv, Mykolaiv, Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia and Poltava regions were left without electricity.
“Wherever the security situation allows, emergency recovery operations have already begun. Power engineers are doing everything possible to restore the equipment damaged by the enemy to service as quickly as possible,” the company noted.
Also, due to the consequences of previous massive attacks, most regions of Ukraine are implementing consumption restriction measures: power limitation schedules for industry and hourly outages for all categories of consumers.
As a reminder, on the night of February 22, Russian troops launched attacks on Ukrainian territory using drones and missiles.
